Abdominal TB-a form of extrapulmonary TB that affects the abdomen’s organs including the stomach-intestines-liver and spleen.

ક્ષય, પેટનો : પેટના પોલાણ (પરિતનગુહા, peritoneal cavity)માં ક્ષયનો રોગ થવો તે. તે લોહી દ્વારા, આંતરડા કે આંત્રપટ(mesentry)માંની રોગગ્રસ્ત લસિકાગ્રંથિ(lymph node)માંથી ફેલાઈને પરિતનગુહામાં ફેલાય છે. પરિતનગુહાની અંદરની દીવાલ રૂપે પરિતનકલા (peritonium) છે. પરિતનકલાના ચેપજન્ય વિકારને પરિતનકલાશોથ (peritonitis) કહે છે અને તેના પોલાણમાં પ્રવાહી ભરાય તો તેને જળોદર (ascites) કહે છે.…
