Gorakh Mundi-an Ayurvedic aromatic annual herb in the Asteraceae family-found in damp-cultivated areas like paddy fields.

ગોરખ મૂંડી : દ્વિદળીના યુક્તદલાના કુળ Compositae-(Asteraceae)નો પથરાતો છોડ. (સં. मुण्डिका, श्रावणी; ગુ. ભુરાંડી કલાર; Bhurandi). તેના સહસભ્યોમાં કલહાર, ગાડરુ, ઉત્કંટો, સોનકી વગેરે છે. તેનું લૅટિન નામ Sphaeranthus indicus છે. જમીન ઉપર પથરાતાં પ્રકાંડ અને શાખા સપક્ષ અને રોમમય ગ્રંથિવાળાં હોય છે. અદંડી, સાદાં અધોગામી પર્ણોની કિનારી કંટકમય હોય છે.…
